Title: Velocity Mod 3.0
Post by: Sushi on April 23, 2001, 05:45:00 pm: This is the last time I'm going to p1mp this...mainly, I want the file on the HLP downloads updated. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) It still points to the BETA version, which only works for Freespace 1!

I've uploaded the file to HLP, and I fully expect that they will do the kindness of updating this for me( (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)), or at least pointing the link to the direct download here. (//"http://sushicw.homestead.com/files/freespace/VelocityModR3.zip")

Post by: morris13 on May 04, 2001, 11:25:00 pm: I've been running it too, it is VERY nice. I like being able to run AWAY from capitol ships very quickly, but I must admit i get a bit startled when I start getting hit by flak from 3000m out.

(http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/biggrin.gif) That already-long range flak makes setting up a bombing run a painful process. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

On the other hand, it's a lot easier to fly out of fighterbeam range now. Use it to your advantage.
