Hello , i build my freespace2 missions with wine on fedrora 11 linux and when i play my mission , the game crash with this error in console

Did you build that engine build yourself?
Can you run a debug build (fs2_open_d or something), and then post the fs2_open.log from your ~/.fs2_open/data folder here?

Now, I don't know the cause of the error you are experiencing, but what I do know is that your install of FS2 is, as we say, ****ed. If you have installed the mediavps yourself, consider yourself shouted at for not reading and following the installation instructions.

Several notes here:
a) MV_Complete is no longer supported, and should be deleted.
b) the MediaVPs files should be in a separate directory. In your case, that would be /home/alex/jeu/fs2_open/mediavps
c) If you wish to use the mediavps, you need to do it via a -mod parameter, i.e. -mod mediavps

I would, but I need you to define the problem. Judging by the log, everything went allright, you got in-game, and into the main menu before quitting.

So, does this work only with the debug build, but fails with the regular one?
Did you make the engine build yourself, or did you use one of the precompiled ones?

Let me be as clear as I can be here:

WHAT EXACTLY is the error you are seeing?
Does the pilot select screen show up?
If it does, what happens when you are in the main menu and try to start a mission?
Can you play that mission?

Does this happen if you compile your own build, using this guide (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Guide_to_FS_Open_on_Linux)?

No, I mean, get your own copy of the code, as explained here:

Then perform the pre-compile optimization steps, as explained here:

Then compile your own executable, following these instructions:

Remember to make both a regular AND a debug build; this may take some time.

Then copy that build to your FS2 directory, and use it instead of the provided one.

The problem, antalaz, is that your code checkout is broken somehow, or that the includes on your system don't support the functions FSO needs.

But you could try using a Linux Nightly build (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=173.0)....

All I can suggest is either be more descriptive with your problem, or come by the IRC channel for possibly some live support.  There is even a french speaker or two in there sometimes.  Check the IRC thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=62431.0) for more info.

yep there are a few french speakers around , so if it comes down to it post in french ...and we will do our best to help... and as far as i remeber the guy who set up the ubuntu install thread is french...;

I'm French, but I don't know much about Linux, even less troubleshooting it.

Antalaz, try to explain us more clearly your problem. Shouting "please ! help me !!!!" does not really help if we don't have all the info to understand your problem. Help us help you. Take the time to describe your setup, and exactly how the problem occurs.

Antalaz, essaie de mieux nous expliquer ton problème. Ca ne sert à rien de dire "please ! help me !!!!" si on n'a pas toutes les infos pour comprendre ton problème. Aide nous à t'aider. Prend le temps de nous détailler ton installation, la façon exacte dont ton problème se produit etc.
