Title: Slight problem with command briefing
Post by: Flashnexus on December 07, 2009, 02:55:17 am
Not sure if this is the right forum, but anyway.

As you can see in the picture below, I've got a small problem with the scroller in the command briefing, blueplanet campaign.

I like the FS2 plot, so I don't plan on continuing this campaign until this problem is fixed.

It only seems to happen to the blueplanet campaign though...

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

I don't think there's any more to that dialogue stage. Just ignore it and move on to the next one.

Does it show up on any other CB stages?

Hmmm, he's missing the "YES/NO" line. Judging from the screenshot, it could be a resolution problem. What res are you using, Flashnexus ?

Isn't that part of the interface present only in the Media VPs?

There should be scrollers there because in the next few stages, lines of text cut off at the bottom, so I need to scroll down, but can't.

Ahhh, gotcha. Well, I assume you're running FSOpen or you wouldn't have gotten far. Do you have the MediaVPs?

You're sure? Could you run a debug build and post the log?

Hah, when I tried the debug build, I got an error message and it crashed.

Code: [Select]
Warning: Weapon explosion 'Subach_Impact' does not have an LOD0 anim!
File: Weapons.cpp
Line: 1241

Call stack:
------------------------------------------------------------------
    parse_weapon()    parse_weaponstbl()    weapon_init()    game_init()    game_main()    WinMain()    WinMainCRTStartup()    kernel32.dll 7c817077()

Are you suggesting I can run mediaVPS and blueplanet at the same time? How do I do that? If I select blueplanet MOD, it takes out mediaVPS, and if I select mediaVPS, it takes out blueplanet, so yeah.

Blue Planet automatically loads the Media VPs, but those must be in a folder called "mediavps" (pick your favorite capitalization) for mods to find them.

Like most mods, Blue Planet's mod.ini file automatically causes it to use the MediaVPs so long as they're in a folder called 'mediavps'.

The core of FSO modding is that you can easyishly run multiple mods at the same time.

Note that you should only do so on your own when you know what you are doing. Smashing random mods together will result in breakage.
