Title: Shivan Corvette (FS2 for UNREAL III)

This is a model which I am going to work into Unreal III at some point.
The model is sort of a lucifer mated with a lilith cruiser.
The model has its basic shape blocked out and some minor details added in.
I wanted to know what the FS community thinks of it, as ive not posted here for a long time.
(Rest assured ive been playing freespace a LOT).

So what do you think of the model?

Well I got the back shape taken roughly from a Cain/Lilith design.

I started off wanting to make a sort of lilithy cain type ship and it ended up looking more like a lucifer.


And im going to use it as a playable vehicle in unreal tournament 3 for PC.
Im sorting out beam effects in tandem along with this model.


Thats the reason I havent posted in a long time is ive been figuring out Unreal Engine III and refinig my modelling technique with a super hi-poly lambda shuttle (800,000 poly's)

When you're done, can you post the model in some editable format?
This ship looks interesting and we don't have any good, custom, HTL Shivan corvette available.

It's nice, but it doesn't look Shivan. I think it may be how boxy the model is.

I must agree with Hads here.
The head is fine, its just that the body is a greebled rectangular prism doesn't really work for "Shivan".

I am still working on it. The bodys shap will probably be edited.
I had something more sleek in mind anyway.
As for uploading, are we looking at DAE, POF, 3DS?
And what polygon count would you be expecting roughly.

as for a new design i was thinking of cutting off the rear prism box and having a greebled shaft  and cables connecting the two halves together. With the rear section remodelled as engines.

Or splitting the prism off and havin something akin to what a sath has.
Armour plated top
Exposed visibly engineered underside.



Those are my ideas.

You want me to model both so you can decide, or you want both designs made into proper ships.
