Sweet merciful ****ing crap, that is a beaut.

I appreciate the effort obviously a lot of time and research went into this.
But Spitfire's better :p
-
Spitfire couldn't escort bombers to Berlin and back :P
-
Well, Spitfires (and Hurricanes) allowed for those bombings in the first place.

Wars are not won by defensive action. 'sides, the Spitfire is the direct cause of its own greatest problem, the 109.

but does it fly?
-
I'm more curios about the guns. XD
I guess you could try sticking it in a wind tunnel...
-
but does it fly?
Can you find someone small enough to fly it?

/me raids smurf village and kidnaps papa smurf
on second thought do we really want to hand over a p51 to a commie?

I disagree, I think you'll find the Spit came into service a year or so before the 109.

That's the exact reason. The Luftwaffe went with the 109 rather than whatever low-speed high-manuverablity crapbucket intially won the acceptance trials specifically because (to their surprise) the Brits had ordered a large number of Spitfires.
-
We built them ;7
Don't suppose there's a price estimate on the original topic model? Seeing as it's now a museum piece?
-
but does it fly?
Yes, if you fold it here, here, and here.

Screw the guns. The cannons are better :D
You could toast somebody with those.
