That sounds like a good 'un. :D That's a great magazine, by the way. I actually have the Me 262 centerfold they released a while back framed up in my room...
Ostrich jerkey. I'm not too curious to try it now, but I'll let you know how it tastes when I do!
Dired mangoes. Good stuff - better than candy.
Two packs of socks, a scarf, and some other simple articles of clothing. And $100 USD. Mmmm... Textbooks...
-

The World According to Clarkson

Lots of folks picking up MW2. I look forward to the screes of bemused disappointment.
-
I have a pencil, paper, computer, CAD programs, good old-school RPGs, and infinite imagination.
...Your $60 USD XBox games (and consoles, for that matter) pale in comparison and can go rot in the pit of gaming Hell for all I care!
-
Oh, come now, a good set of rulebooks costs as much as a console and game.
-
Computer-based RPGs.
For the record, I hardly play games now-a-days, so this might not be too valid a claim for me to make. But, I'm very happy with what I've got. I'm just remembering the last semester at Embry, where my second-semester roommate would occaisionally go out and spend more than $60 on a game. That's nuts. And in a day or two (maybe less), he'd be done with it. That's really quite wasteful in my opinion.
-
Maybe, but if you get twenty hours out of a game (which you should out of a reasonable purchase), you're getting better value than a movie ticket or a book.
-
heavens know i racked up more than 260 hours of playtime in GMOD since i bought it last year for christmas.
and how much playtime i will get out of audiosurf...
-
A new phone (my old one didn't even have a camera. xD)
A shirt with the slogan "The economy tanked so all I got for Christmas was this lousy t-shirt", It should've been "The economy tanked so all my dad could be arsed to buy me this lousy t-shirt" :P
A new necklace
$200 courtesy of grandparents
$20 courtesy of an aunt
A book about the Sri Lankan Army that's big enough to double as a melee weapon.
-
500GB external hard drive (and it's USB powered, so I don't need to lug a power cord around anymore)
Asus Xonar DX sound card
Quantum of Solace and The Hangover DVDs
Clothes (including some T-shirts that I will actually wear)
and a little more to come from my mom
Oh and some malware/trojan on my PC :blah:
But I think I've got that taken care of now.
-
I got . . . . .
The Godfather, special Francis Ford Coppola 4 disk edition. My favourite present.
A variety of clothing from Topman.
Gears of war 2 360. (Good intentions)
A brilliant bottle of Davidoff silver shadow. The finest scent and female attractant i've ever owned.
A variety of whiskies and hipflask so I can tolerate work next week.
Some quite warm cityboy leather gloves.
A Bill Bailey DVD, the Orchestra.
Bit of cash. . . But to be honest I earn enough to buy myself everything I want so this time of year is about seeing the family more than ought else.
-
Babylon 5 Season Four and money, pretty much. I do like money though.
-
from the family gift exchange on christmas eve:
Sony clock/radio/iPod dock
a bunch of books
some awesome clothes
Cabella's big game hunter 2010
Nerf N-strike elite
Karma (a kamelot album)
over a hundred dollars of gift cards and straight cash
then on christmas morning (from "santa"):
A nice fleece vest
some nice in-ear bud headphones to replace the ones I smashed the other day that came with my ipod
and between me and my baby sister (from "santa"):
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Nyko wiimote charger (for 2 motes)
and then my uncle said that he'll give me his PS2. Flippin' schweet.
-
I got the **** out of Dallas, where I was stranded overnight because my flight home was canceled :ick:.
Also got a shiny steel shuriken, a stack of books, a couple necklaces, and a most delightful hat and mittens.
-
I love it when she swears ;7
Mittens? Complete with string?
-
a most delightful hat and mittens.
I don't suppose it was also a cunning hat?

My actual haul was pretty small, with snazzy pajama bottoms pretty much taking the top of the heap. That said as a house gift I bought a Bose surround system and a LG Bluray player, which I will thoroughly enjoy.

You don't want to get into a "who's got more old-school gaming" with me. I'm still playing a system straight out of the late '80s.
-
i like wolf 3d
-
I like Tyrian 2000, but that was released in 1995 so :P.
-
As promised, I'd report on how ostrich jerky tastes:
The answer? Surprisingly good. Smoked ostrich with an omlette would assumably be magical as well...
-
An omelette goes pretty well with a lot of stuff.
