Title: Sun flare issue

Occasionally during the mission I'm building, the hazy "glow" effect around the sun will disappear, then reappear.  I can make it happen by firing repeatedly while facing the sun.  I don't really think the mission is overloaded on effects at this point, so I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

Hmmmm. Do you use the spec-static flag in the launcher?

Flags are as such:   -ambient_factor 35 -ogl_spec 20 -spec_exp 15 -spec_point 1.2 -spec_static 1.5 -spec_tube 1.5

I confess, it's been a long time since I set these and I don't really recall what the spec flags do.  Any issues in there to be causing this?
