Hi all, Iam new to the game but immenesely enjoying it so far, theres this thing I would like to ask, obviously a nub question but couldnt find the answer on net, how can you play the game so you can see your whole ship not just the cocpit and also to have all the hud and cross aim on the screen? tried external view with camera lock but still dont know how to turn on hud and aim in that view..
Help would be much appreciated

the key you are looking for is by default "*" IIRC, it will show you the entire ship, note that the aiming will be distortioned in this mode (specially on close distances)

Yeah, if you press F2 to go to the options menu, and then go to the control config page, you can see all the possible camera commands in the "Misc" tab.

Found it , thanks a lot for help guys

On a similar note, in retail (and some later scp builds) i used to be able to shift my view about by holding "keypad 0" and using the default movement keys.
Why's it gone from recent builds??

I seem to remember something like this as well, but I never checked what the control for it was... if this is indeed not working properly, a bug report ought to be filed (assuming none has been filed so far)
This is the thing where you look to the side and it put a big red dot in the 'real' center of your view, right?

Now that you mention that I think I remember it as well, the red dot (or was it green?) and then you turned your view, like when you turn the camera inside the cockpit.

Yeah.
That's the thing, so does it work for you guys still or has this trackIR (that I don't use) broken it?
