Title: Homesick Campaign: Where is the #@$! jammer?
Post by: Fistleaf on January 16, 2010, 09:57:52 am
I am playing this mission where you are attacked in a nebula by GTI fighters/bombers and you are supposed to destroy a jammer in order to track the enemy.  I have replayed this mission a few times and still couldn't find the jammer.  Where exactly is it?

I played Homesick a long time ago, but I recall it being a Charybdis (as in, an AWACS ship) somewhere. Finding it can be an excellent challenge indeed, but the ships' radar blips should still be blinking on your radar. Try finding one blip that doesn't appear to be moving too much.

I just recently played that campaign too and there is no blip. No red one, no violet one and no green one (well... there were red ones, from the enemy fighters, but once the fighters are destoyed nothing). If there ever was one, it isn't shown when you play with 3.6.10 or above.

You might have accidentally changed your radar range, and are too far away to see it.  Make sure your radar has an infinity symbol on the lower right.

I played that mission and I didn't see it either.

However, the ship is indeed there. I did see the engine plume and the vessel warp out as well. The AWACS should be around the node... just keep that in mind.

I did check my radar range, but I made the error of listening to the commander of the corvette, who tells you that the jammer is to the left of the ship while the node is in another direction (behind it if I remember correctly)....
