Hi, I'm new to the club.
I just installed Freespace 2 (haven't played since it first came out) and then installed mediaVPs and flew the tutorials. Amazing work!!! I can't wait to get into the campaign.
The install guides were easy and everything went smoothly, except one thing: bank axis is not working on my joystick. The bank axis is set to rY axis (3d twist) on my Saitek AV8R-02 stick. I am able to easily assign the axis, using my joystick, in the ship control section of game. However, when I jump into the game, the bank axis or twist action does nothing. 9 and 7 on numpad do bank the ship correctly, but the rY axis does not bank the ship even though it shows as assigned in control setup.
So, any ideas? I didn't want to start the campaign without being able to bank... don't want to cut out any of the experience :)

Protip: HLP is a rather small community and the number of forums isn't that huge -> asking the same thing in several places at the same time is frowned upon. I locked this same thread at General FreeSpace Discussion.
Joysticks aren't my cup of tea, but there are people here who know about these things and I'm sure they'll respond to this thread sooner or later.
