Have you installed OpenAL correctly?

Conflict: Denied Ops (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict:_Denied_Ops) has very little to do with FRED (the mission editor for the FreeSpace (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freespace) series of space action flying shooting games), so moved.

I also assume that you'd need to install the latest version of OpenAL (http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal).

Is it a bad sign that we are now obviously one of the first places that turn up in a Google search for OpenAL errors? :D

Heh. A few years ago, there were only ~twenty results on OpenAL, with HLP being ~five of them.  :P

Not more so than my Gimp Thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=64769.0) being the first one coming up with the search "the gimp thread" (http://www.google.fi/search?q=%22the+gimp+thread%22).

I don't know if someone is google bombing us but I don't think it's a bad thing that more people find about HLP through non-obvious routes.

This is rather strange.

Maybe he searched for "OpenAL Error Conflict: Denied Ops" but got redirected here because of Conflict: FreeSpace?
