I get to the first way point and it says there's a signal 10 km out but I don't see anything on the radar and don't know were to go
-
Increase your radar range to infinity. You should see radar blips appearing.
-
Yep. Works just like the main FS2 campaign.
Make sure you're on 2D radar as well, it makes things easier.
-
Is there anything good about the 3D radar anyway?
Oh and after you find the source, don't shoot it.
It might make your life a bit...difficult.
-
Personally I love the 3D radar, but if you can't read it then just switch to the regular 2D one since they both are available.
-
3d looks cooler, but is more difficult to read.
-
You'll get used to it, for me reading it is like second nature, If I turn the 2D radar right now and go play the retail campaign I would surely be in a real trouble orientating myself.
-
i've gotten pretty well used to it now, but it still presents problems when the shipcount increases. when the dots are fking everywhere, it just looks like a giant mess and it's extremely hard to tell which dots are in front and which are behind.
-
I really don't like the 3D radar for hunting untargetable blips on the sensors alone. The big white dot, that represents your own ship is completely blocking your forward view on the radar. I really hope that dot will be taken out or shrinked to half it's size in the future.

i also keep thinking it's a node or cargo container. :P
