Title: Model hunting
Post by: ShadowWolf_IH on February 06, 2010, 06:40:44 am
I need a light carrier, something large enough to support 2 wings, maybe 3, including a support ship, which can conceivably dock to an exterior port.  anyone know of such a critter?

The Griffin in ItDoH (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/GTC_Gryphon) is a cruiser-sized ship that has a fighterbay - maybe you could use that? (I know the ship in the Wiki is the Gryphon, but it's the same model.) Unfortunately, I don't know where there's a seperate download for that ship, however.

The Hestia isn't bad.

It's easy to get rid of them, but it will look awkward.
You may try Andropow from 158th though, as it also have a fighterbay.

And here i thought i'd be stuck with the rumrunner 2.0, good thing you said no.

Seriously, what was the point of that?  "I have a ship and you don't, nanner nanner"?

And now in an unrelated story, we go back on topic:
I like the Hestia, although it is a bit large for what I am doing.  Same idea but downscaled.  The cruisers are cruisers and not light carriers.  While I like the ships from TVWP, they aren't a good fit with the rest of the models that I am using.  Good work but a different feeling than I am looking for.   So my choices are, get one custom made, Hetsia or Gryphon, or use my uber not a modder powers to attempt a downscaling of the hestia in the pof.  Unless someone knows of another viable option.

Try these:

The Tane is 904 meters long and it has a big hangar. It's different than the other ships, but it's also not the smallest one out there.

If it's to work with the Blade and the Warlock, I think the GTC Gryphon might work:

The Griffin in ItDoH (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/GTC_Gryphon) is a cruiser-sized ship that has a fighterbay
