Hey, anyone know where I can find an HTL EAB Peregrine?
-
There isn't one.
-

Download at sectorgame is broken.

Inferno R1, Sol: A History, and any other mod using Inferno.
Except Alliance.
-
Thanks.

Crap, that really sucks. :(
-
Somebody should make a HTL Peregrine. It is a nice classic and heavily reliable bomber. It deserves some new light and be brought up to standard with the rest of the custom models these days.
Of course, we can all wait for Inferno, but who knows when that will come.......
-
Yeah. I like that ship. It's the only EA fightercraft that doesn't look like it's made of cardboard.
-
:wtf:
Sure the Claymores may be spindly twigs, but the Peregrine has three razor-thin sets of wings holding its missile bays in place.
-
:hopping: Yeah. But the Ursa and the Medusa shouldn't realistically be able to hold more than 2 Cyclops. The Artemis shouldn't be able to hold even one. And considering that the Fury is more powerful than some nukes, ships should explode immediately when hit by missiles. Lots of Freespace ships defy the laws of physics. Freespace defies to laws of physics. Get used to it. And like I said, at least the Peregrine doesn't look like its made of cardboard.

lol

Actually, the download at sectorgame isn't broken, it's just that the file is corrupt and you can't use it.

Confirmed.

So the bomb scale is off...big deal. Easily fixable.

And the Peregrine's wings still belong on a Gillette Mach 3 razor head.

Actually, the wings are thick enough to support those missile and gun banks
-
And ironically they're thickest not at the root the way it should be, but they're thickest at the very end.

There's been stranger things in life:
The Republic XF-91 Thunderceptor...
-
Even that doesn't beat the flying pancake.
-
Hey, the XF5U happens to be one of my favorites! The Marines would have really benefitted from something like that, too.
-
You know, in all honesty, the Peregrine model is actually quite good. What it could really use is some high-resolution textures, shine/normals and glowpointing.
Although, if a modeller wanted to improve the detailing on it, that wouldn't hurt either.
-
I've always said that.
-
The Peregrine's UV mapping is really horrible by modern standards. Its maps need to be baked to a single texture.
-
I want a THUNDERCEPTOR!
Rawr!
