Title: To HLP
Post by: Red5 on April 11, 2002, 11:12:57 pm
I'm sure email is much more "A1-Supar"  but could we get a forum for the "The Great War II: Freespace Mod" star trek armada 2 mod... our main forum is at STGN located at http://stgn.ugforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=229

but its full of mostly armada 2 modders, the reason is id like to get as much FS community input from you guys, after all im building it for you not them, i dont wanna see GTD-Enterprise X firing phasers teaming up with romulans as a third race against the gtva.  I want your input to hold this mod as true as possible to FS2.  I am but one on the team four (who are much awesomer better modelers than I).  Because i dont wanna ask you to reregister your names on another forum, i am asking for one to be hosted here...  Plus i can do quick updates and things, Btw a guy by the name of DH has imported some models into the game and we have a press release screenshot for ya, what a great first post eh??

I'll sign on to that. If we wind up with some Star Trek-FreeSpace bastardization, I'm going to have to get murderous...:D

I still don't quite grasp the significance of seemingly arbitrary 4-digit numbers. 2389, 2506, 5670? Congrats on the 1.5k btw, CP. ;)

You forgot me!  7890!  :lol: it's actually just the last four numbers on the keyboard.  Since "Delta" is almost always taken as a screen name, I just chose a random number sequence to call my own.  Ta-da!

:D I knew there was a 4th 4-digit-er. ;) Quite a collection we have here. :)

Unique identifiers... just that. Something in the lines of the extra X on my username. ;)

I guess that'd make sense. :) I guess, if I changed my name to SetekhSteakAWACSTangBoyArraysNotUpdatedEnough, that would be a real globally-unique ID.

At least, I hope so..

But if you change it to that I'll personally find a new name for you that's not allowed by most word filters :D

ppqq34, axq93p, 0000, Pfft2044.

I got you'z all beat fer arbitrary digits...and letters for that matter.

Post by: Nico on April 12, 2002, 11:12:58 am
2506 is my birth date ( day/month), at the begining I put that coz there was already another guy registered as Venom somewhere else, and since then, I just put it every time now.

For a second, I thought Pfft2044 was a legitimate hex code. I think I need more sleep.

Just seeing if the color tags accept hex.

Yippee! Now that's a kick-ass colour :nod:.

That can be arranged... I could make them [steak] tags, with bold and colours and everything. We had them back at the UBB.

You know it, and still keeps drinking it? Man, the addiction is worse than I had thought!

* snaps fingers, and two grunts pick Steak up and put him inside a nice, long-sleeved shirt *

Now, come with us...

:D

Ah, and testing: [steak]test![/steak]

Oh, shoot. :p

It's even easier to add vB code than it was to add UBB code.

[glow=ffffff]Here's an example[/glow]

Hey, that's a good name...the last part is very truthful :D

My name doesn't really mean anything actually; back in 1996, I remember I was trying to register on Westwood Online to play RA, and just about everything I typed was already taken by someone else. I tried a3ddll (from a3d.dll file), intelinside23, hypocycloid, ctrlaltdel, just about anything I could think of; every single one was taken. :p Eventually I just got fed up and entered a bunch of random characters onto my keyboard and it turned out as "CP5670." :p This one was not taken, so I just used it there, and have been going by that ever since. :D

Let me see if the glow tag will take hex values. ;)

[glow=0000FF][color=0000FF]
This is a test.
f / y = d / dx (  f / (dy/dx) )
All your base are belong to us.[/color][/glow]
