..a campaign where a FS2 era destroyer travels back in time to FS1 era..in time to brings it weaponry to bear on Lucifer?

There was a fanfic, but AFAIK it was never finished. I read it quite a while ago, can't remember where. The initial idea was okay but the writing wasn't great.

You know what would make it more interesting?  If the Shivans sent a Ravana or two back in time to stop the GTVA destroyer from blowing up the Lucifer.  Be sure to include an epic fleet battle where the FS1 ships come upon the FS2 ships duking it out.

I've thought about such a campaign.  I've even made some mission outlines and added some SCP features for it.  But unless someone starts paying me to do FS modding full time, I doubt any of those story ideas will be realized. :(

Kind of reminds me of the concept of this manga/anime series called Zipang, where a modern Japanese warship is sent back in time to the eve of the Battle of Midway.  It's a fun idea to play around with.

If I remember correctly, they're trying, rather desperately, not to alter the timeline or in general get noticed. (You would too, when a good airstrike is bigger than your VLS magazine.)

I don`t like this idea,but what if destroyer from great war times travels to post or shortly pre capella timeline? Schock whey they see GTA vessel with beams and ..shock because of GTVA ...  shock!

GTVA wont he a huge shock unless the displaced ship is from early in the great war, lets face it by the end of it i think the GTVA was a logical conclusion to the war in terms of plot, and in game social and diplomatic mechanics. the two had started working together strategically and in terms of sharing military tech

BP has something like this,
