Don't they all end up with a lot of pew pew pew.
Guard this, attack that. . . . It's all the same but with different branding. :nervous:

there's one where you hop in a shivan fighter and sneak around a shivan
There's another where you hop in a stealth fighter and scan the sathanas' subsystems.
both can be done without firing a shot

There's not a whole lot of variety in FS missions in general...but I think that was necessary given the engine limitations at the time.
However, with the new FSO engine it's damn near inexcusable to have a lack of variety. Blue Planet did a good job with interesting missions.

If you're asking me to release a recon campaign, you should be very careful about doing that.

Hey, PI had some very nerve-wracking stealth missions.
EDIT: Fixed. I don't know why my spellchecker doesn't recognise -wracking.

The phrase is 'nerve-racking', I believe.

Actually, it's "nerve-wracking." :p

I've been thinking about a campaign set during the T-V war that would have you going through advanced flight school - it would be a "replacement" for the normal, easy training missions. The primary focus would be on precision flight and have you doing things like "flying the pattern" after finishing a sortie, etc.
...Needless to say, FREDding that would be... painful.
