Title: Loadout issues in a campaign

Yeah, sorry for the vague title, but I've come across a very frustrating issue that I cannot seem to solve. I'm working on a custom campaign, and have a couple missions I want to string together to test a red-alert transition. Only problem is, when I play the first mission of the pair, all the ship and weapon choices available are gone. No weapons or ships are available, and everybody's flying a totally disarmed Ulysses. I even went and turned on all the weapons and ships that I could possibly use in that campaign through the campaign editor. Help please?

Also, though not quite related, I've tried opening up other campaigns, maybe to work off of those regarding the loadout, and the campaign editor refuses to load any of them. It tells me that the file is not a valid campaign file, yet it clearly exists and shows up as a .fc2. FRED version seems to be indifferent to this wierdness, and a debug build gave no additional information.

Technical: I'm presently working under the 3.6.11r build, and the 3.6.11r FRED build, with my mod flag enabled. Worked fine up until now, and I can't exactly playtest a mission with no weapons.

1) Have you tried creating a new pilot?

2) You've added the ships in both the team loadout editor and the campaign editor? Seems a little odd they'd be vanishing. What happens in debug?

And have you restarted the campaign in the campaign room after updating the campaign file?

New pilot and a campaign restart fixed the loadout issues, but now my campaign seems to be afflicted by the red-alert bug. My ship does not appear in the game world, the point of view for the cockpit is offset by several kilometers, and I can do nothing.

I'd heard of this bug popping up, but I cannot recall what any solutions were...

[Edit]- Turns out I'm just a noob at handling red-alerts. Problem fixed by user.
