Title: XP Install Issue

Probably a stupid question, but I didn't see the answer in the FAQ threads.

I've got an odd desire to go back and replay Freespace (the original), however I haven't been able to install it. The game doesn't autorun and I can't get anything in the disk folder to run independently. Any idea what my issue might be? I'm running Windows XP SP3.

Edit: Alright, it is suddenly, without explanation, reading the disk. The installer runs up to 11%, then I get the following error

Descent Freesapce Setp
An Error occurred during the move data process: -117.

Anyone know what the deal is with that?

See if your CD/DVD-ROM can read other disks. Or, if you have another computer at your disposal, see if *that* can read your disk. It's something hardware-related.
