Title: Stargate SG-1
Post by: Setekh on April 14, 2002, 01:34:25 am
Does anyone still watch it? Season 4 ended a while ago here in Australia and it hasn't been on for months. I was just browsing the new (crap) official SG-1 site and saw this really clear picture of a Replicator...

Anyway, does anyone still receive SG-1? Are there more new seasons being made, or what?

I still watch it religiously, in the one-season-delayed broadcast syndication over here. Last episode I saw they got shanghaied by one of thier captured goa'uld death gliders. Anyway, AFAIK, they're still producing it.

what I beleve is the most recent epesode for me was the one with osirus and danels old archology buddies and haveing to figure out wich one is a snake-head, I never found out how that ended as they all left in an old ship and it was sort of a to be continued, next episode was the one in that mine feild.

I think I missed a bit of season 3

Here in Slovenia there was only 2 seasons:( . It was most popular sci fi show... but TV still don't buy new seasons.
They got loads of complais about that :p, and guess who was among complainers;)

The latest ep here is the one where Thor gets pretty much wasted by Anubis. This is the episode I wanted shots from, the new Asgard ships are ****ing schweet. I think season six is ready to start up....or was it 5? Meh.

Amazon'll probably have some DVD's of it.

Nemesis=Season 3 finale
Small Victories=Season 4 premier
Exodus=Season 4 finale
Replicator ep=Season 5 premier
Thor's whoopin=Season 5 finale

Therefore season 6 will be screening in the UK in a few weeks. Quack!

The aired the first two seasons, here in Estonia (btw, leaving out Part 2 of the 2nd season finale ) ,now they are doing reruns of Season 2, after which they promised to buy the newer episodes as well.

And yes, they are still making it.

does anyone have an exact date for the lauch of season 6 in the uk??? i cant wait =)

wonder if anubis got any secrets out of thor? that could be very bad acaully that would be to bad if teh goauld had thor secrets earth would be over run in seconds

but that means the reps aren't defeated yet jsut that the fight has been evened up enough that the asguard could risk sending 3 ships to rescue thor and sg1 and the other fella and the froozen asguard too

I'm guessing they'll put season 6 out when either Alias (jennifer Gardner is FIT) or Mutant-X (tooo.....many...beautiful....people...) end their season. I think it'll be Alias coz MX only started up again a few weeks ago.

Both those suck as entertainment though. Scrubs is the only new series i like.

I was hooked on Scrubs from the first episode when:
Elliot: What are you thinking?
JD thinking: You're butt looks like two Pringles hugging.

I like Alias. It's a bit corny but the gratuitous beating make it worth watching.

I wanna know what happened to all those  pilot series SkyOne screened, like:
The Pretender
Brimstone
Good Versus Evil
and the likes.

They were all schweet.

They usually dump ones that dont make money. Scrubs wont be going anytime soon because its a hit, dunno about Alias. I mean if your working for the CIA etc, why would you bother going school?!?!?!?

That's essentially what Replicators are. They make all their various body types out of those little modular things.

That ep is cool. They shoulda left it as reality though. It'd've been nice to see the SGC finally do something to really defend earth.

the pretender is still making new eps, brimstone ran on sci-fi for a bit then stopped, same for g vs e, but usa picked it up for a season and I havent seen it since.

[sarcasm]Oh, goody. Sci-fi productions are A1-Super 1337[/sarcasm]

The only good thing they ever did was Dune and even that was sub-par to the original (of course they did bring us Nina the psycho-girl. Damn she' fiiine)

Bah, we've only gotten to season 2 here. And it hasn't been on in ages, makes me wonder if they stopped showing it entirely.

Are you Serious? But... the O'Neill was like, 5 times the size of a basic Asgard ship...

Yeah. I noticed that. Thor's ship in that ep was smaller than the O'neill, but when the O'neill flies off into space it's tiny compared to the replicator controlled ships.

Major Spoilage

Just been reading some stuff on gateworld.net and they have some quotes that hint at some interesting things.

Anubis may be one of the old system lords (possibly Sokar). Makes sense though. The actor playing Anubis is the one who played Sokar. Tanith worked for Apophis (who took control of Sokar's fleets) and then Anubis. Apophis was pretty much a renegade with no ships, Sokar may have given him the ships (under the guise of being defeated) in order for Apophis to try and wipe out Earth, after all Sokar did make him second in command of Netu. Apophis went to wipe out the Tok'ra, as did Anubis' new lackey. Osiris has seen Anubis but never saw Sokar (thus never identifying him). Apophis Cheops class ship (the massive one) could destroy normal Goa'uld ships with a single shot and Anubis fleet massacred the other Goa'uld fleets. The Cheops put up a decent fight against that Replicator ship which could probably have taken on an Asgard ship (thus advanced shields and weapons). Lots of little things add up.

Season six (the final season) will finish production in September 2002. This seems a little bit wierd.

The spin-off will be called Atlantis and probably have something to do with the Ancients.

The Furlings will pop up briefly.

Anyway:

Channel 4s' pretty much up-to-date with the repeats Sky show every weekday...it's pretty annoying that the same episode is shown on C4 about a week after it was on sky.
