Found this tune (http://fs2downloads.com/Misc-Downloads/Mystery%20Piano%20Solo.mp3) on a remix site and I figured it would be a good trivia test to see if anyone else could identify it.
I will point out that it is quite an old tune but it is from a fairly famous game.

Just a wild guess (because I have little experience with old games): Crystalis
-
I doubt I've played the game, but it does sound vaguely familiar. Pretty melody, though.
-
sounds nice, cant remember hearing it in a game though (to be noted that i rarely play non PC games) i would guess its from a cut-scene/cinematic or maybe background for an RPG or space game like elite
pure speculation on my part though :p
-
Sadly, I'm really certain I've played this game. (And it's great music.)
It's not Sierra is it?
(My second choice would be The Dig...)
-
Let's just say that there are quite a few people on HLP who are younger than this game. :p

2009-10-30 The Wall (Piano Solo) Cueshark Chris Hülsbeck 3.90 MB 04:16 All-time ranking: 316 | Score: 69% | Rating: Very Good
You shouldn't have left "amigaremix.com" in the file's id3 tag :drevil:
edit: Some good stuff on that site, thanks for the indirect tip :D
editedit: If I'm not mistaken, the game in question is Turrican 2

I left it in cause I didn't mind if people visited the place. :) There are a lot of very cool remixes of old Amiga tunes on that site so I'm happy to send traffic that way. :)

Ah, Turrican 2. Played it on our Atari ST when I was wee, and came back to it a few years ago. Never was that good at it or that fond of platformers, but I'll never forget some of those tracks (especially the one that plays during the menu screen). Some of them were a little too upbeat for the game IMO, but w/e. Chris Hülsbeck made some great tunes (he still does BTW). Scooter (the German rave band) even used the track that plays during the end credits for one of their remixes.
