Title: Federal Fighter pack mod help

I'd really like to use the weapons and ships from this pack but the one on FSMods doesn't have complete tables. Does anyone have a full set of tables? I'd rather not have to make them because I always screw something up. :)

Really? The one I DLed just a few days ago has a main folder "Fighter pack 3", containing folders for all the fighters, which each contain "models", "maps" and "tables" folders. The tables all seem to be there. Are you sure you got the right one?

I think this (http://www.freespacemods.net/download.php?view.225) is the one I got.

[EDIT] Just checked- the one I linked definitely has all the ship tables. If you mean the weapons pack, I'm not sure he's uploaded it.

Actually there's a new version of the pack that's been worked on though not released, it would add the rest of the weapons and further optimize the models and textures of the ships, and I think the capital ships would be included as well, though I don't remember all the details.

These ships are horribly un-optimized and will kill your system even on a high-end rig.

Hopefully we can get you some or all of these ships optimized for War in Heaven. We've got a few done, along with some obvious fixes like adding pilots to the cockpits.

We can probably get you Steve-O's complete original tables right now, though. Try PMing Darius.

EDIT: owait, looks like you got them. Hooray!

Blue Planet will be releasing optimized versions of the models with War in Heaven, along with some obvious improvements like putting pilots in the cockpits.
For accuracy's sake and for the record, both of these are at the moment optional to release of WiH. We'll include as many of optimized models as we have finished by the time release is otherwise ready. It will certainly cause issues for low-end computers, but that's a compromise we have accepted to not have campaign held up by assets that aren't required to play the campaign.

Except War in Heaven doesn't have the FTFx Thor.

Well since it would be a UEF fighter it wouldn't have the beam cannon, could be a railgun instead.

Well since it would be a UEF fighter it wouldn't have the beam cannon, could be a railgun instead.

Yeah, with high damage but very slow rate of fire and very limited ammo capacity.

UEF railguns can be thought of as the bigger, meaner versions of the Maxim. In other words, ammo is not that much of a problem.

That could be a fascinating dynamic to play with, though, as we do already have some ammo-limited UEF primaries.

I'd like to see Thor in WiH and I even have an idea how to get it in (as a railgun armed fighter), but I'm not sure if I will be able to do this (I don't have much free time recently).

Just to put it there, I do support Dragon in wanting to add the Thor, in personal terms it's my favorite fighter ever conceived next to the Wraith / Uriel.

Last time I'll further derail the thread, my apologies for starting it in the first place.
