Title: Unable to run PI without massive error interruptions, help pls.

I will not try to write so much sentences, because my english is limited and take matter of case to most misunderstanding situations. Instead i will copy/paste logs and other stuff from debugerland spews. I hope my problem is not another PEBKAC thingy.

After couple of those intel errors i can play the game,but this isnt right with all this errors, because this is not beta relase of Pi



Error logs from 3.6.10 or 3.6.12 also be helpfull?

Do you have the Procyon Insurgency VPs in their own separate folder within the FreeSpace 2 directory called, I believe, 'PI'?

And yes, debug logs would be great, whether from this 3.6.9 build or 3.6.10/12.

Judging from the debug log, your installation of PI and the MVPs seems to be correct.
But you're trying to run the 3.6.10 MVPs with a 3.6.9 build. Won't work. Try playing with 3.6.10 or 3.6.12, see if you still get any errors.

The errors with intel names could be related to PI not supporting your Polish installation, I've seen that kind of errors before with ASW.

Yeah, trying to run 3.6.10 mediavps with 3.6.9 is just inviting errors.

There is something wrong with your species.tbl. Either the one from retail, or the one from PI (Guessing PI is to blame here).

Umm, no. Someone might want to make a patch for this.

It's likely not your retail install, but the PI species.tbl that's causing the issue, it is very similar to what we had with ASW - see Madcat's issue in this thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=67195.20).

Year ago i was able to play PI and other mods without modyfying retail polish version, something in re-relased mediavps has ben change, since now i can`t play several mods because of errors.

This is an issue with the PI species.tbl, but it's failing on the Great War entry which is identical to the one from the retail species.tbl. The only explanation I can think of is that the non-English versions of FS2 look for a different file or somehow parse it differently.

Has anyone else run PI successfully off such a version of the game? What does the retail species.tbl look like?

It does more or less work, or at least it used to. The 1.04 update was designed to use the 12/08 version of the 3.6.10 VPs, with either a 3.6.9 or 3.6.10 build (since the 3.6.10 builds at the time had other problems with PI). The Media VPs have been changed again since then but I don't think the changes were significant enough to break anything.

I solve this problem simply installing english retail version od FreeSpace2. Work like a charm now.
