I know you should never make an Acronym of an Acronym (And maybe THIS is why?), the new Uk Space Agency, the acronym for it would be USA. Which is just terrible :P. Admittedly, if we use grammer properly, it is UKSA. On a side note, the U(K)SA goes into operation on April 1st, isn't that the WORST date for somthing? :P

I should also point out, on that exact same day, April Fools day, the Queen is (supposedly) coming to my local City :D Is she just playing one big april fools joke...?

But we already have a USA (http://www.unitedspacealliance.com) in our USA.
-
Boy let's not tell them about the University of Kentucky then
-
I like how the picture they chose for that article is of Great Britain as a giant ice cube. :p
-
They were going to call it Her Majesty's Space Agency and they passed that up for this?
-
USA! USA! USA! :p
-
lol what will the uk do with a space agency

What's up with that? I mean the Brits used to slap "His/Her Majesty's" on everything. What happened to their traditional monarchial pride?

On Her Majesty's Space Service??

Least they can hold onto that one for the military branch
-
Did we ever use space monkies?
Giving them guns would cover our military arm ;)
-
Or so Labour would say. :D
-
ah, HMS Rocket-1?
hm, Labour, sending our trops everywhere with the worst equipment available. Not sure i'd trust any other party not to do that either, it's in out nature to try and do things cheaply. For example: I acturally prefer the really cheap Sainsburrys Orange Juice over more expensive orange juice.
I hope the UKSA doesn't acturally start trying to do manned missions on its own without the ESA, I can't even begin to imagine the cost cutting measures it would take...

from what i have read its covering stiff like coms satalites and other 'little' bits like that

Recursive acronyms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recursive_acronym) ftw \o/
