I know a while back there was a big thread about this application that gave a graphical representation of how your disk space was being used, but I couldn't find it searching through the forum, anyone have a link to that or to the program they were talking about?
-
That would be WinDirStat.

Found here: http://windirstat.info/

Thanks a ton. I need to start purging out some space on this laptop, and I'm trying to find the problem areas :)
-
So...is this essentially the disk defragmentation application windows already has but with more features?
-
No, not at all. It's just a neat little prog that can visualize disk usage so that you can identify the big space wastages. It doesn't do any defragmenting or so, it just displays info about your HDD that the Win Explorer just can't give you directly.

like tell you where those 50 dvd isos you forgot about are.
-
Wow, I could of used that a long time ago, instead of wasting a day finding out that my temp folder is thirty gigs large.
-
Temp folder.. the greatest of all places, where everyone is free to crap and forget his files.
And if you go and try clearing those 32427 cryptically named files manually.. ha ha haa..
