Title: OpenCollada export issues (and scooby's fixer)
Post by: Quanto on March 28, 2010, 03:53:16 am
Oi, I've got an odd problem with the OpenCollada exporter.
At the moment I'm remaking one of my older ships, and I've followed all of the steps I usually take when prepping my models for PCS2.
However, this time, the model exports to DAE like normal, and then when I use Scooby's Quick-Fixer, it crashes (the fixer). And the DAE is still borked in PCS2.

Scooby, can you tell me again what parts of the DAE that the fixer fixes so I can fix them myself in notepad? Cause there is SOMETHING wrong with this model that is causing your fixer to crash. PCS2 opens it fine (excluding the texture problem.)
Just to make sure the fixer was still working like its supposed to, I tested it on some older models and it fixed thier DAE's fine. Something is wrong with this one in particular.

So yeah. I'm headed to bed, I'll be back in a few hours when my brain is fresh (its 5AM for me right now).

I don't remember offhand what I actually fixed.  I believe it was the texture names get some number appended to them.

If you want to upload the model then I can see what's causing it to crash.

eh, don't worry about it.
I redid the conversion process from scratch, and it ended with a proper DAE. I don't know what was wrong with that previous attempt, but yeah. Its good now. Thanks for replying at any rate.
