Title: Life Pods in Freespace?

Hello there!

I was trying to include a "save life pod"-objective into a mission.
Unfortunately there seems to be nothing that can feasibly used as a life boat in FSO.
I 'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion how to achieve the desired effect without having to design a new ship model from scratch? Perhaps there is a campaign where such a thing was attempted that someone could point me to?

Well, there is the GTEP Hermes, which is an escape pod...

...There's also a user-made vessel in the Wiki somewhere...

I thought there was a different escape/life pod listed there, but I can't seem to find it. Regardless, hopefully that might help.
