Title: The best Babylon 5 map?
Post by: cloneof on April 14, 2010, 11:56:44 am
Hi guys!

I just had an inspiration and I though that I would continue mingle with FRED. However, to materialize my great thoughts ( ;7) into a proper storyline in the Open Office, I though I would look at the map of the are of space Babylon 5 was in.

I remembered there was an excellent map in the Earth-Brakiri war, however, I have been unable to find it.

Anyone know where I can find it or a link for some other quality Babylon 5 map?

There is something that bothers me about this map. Berlin and Myoto just hang in the air with neither a dot to represent them nor any hypersapce connections. And (unless the map is supposed to be 3D) they are within Minbari terretory.

Jericho is somewhere entirely different on this map

Good thing I always use my creativity regarding places and systems when doing campaign stories.

By the way, could anyone find the Tyree system from that map?

Just though it would be odd to have such an high quality map without the good old Tyree system .

Are these maps public domain or do they belong to someone or some company?  I'd like to just add them to DVD2 if we can.

I've found these from Google. I think 3 are from B5 RPG, 1 is from the cancelled B5 game.

It would probably be a good idea at some point to make one specifically for TBP.  If we ever get Squadwar going it could be very useful as a node map as well.

Weird. According to Londo in "Midnight on the Firing Line", Beta 9 is a lost Centari colony. But in Season 4, Beta 9 is somewhere where the EAS Hercules went for repairs after the battle for Proxima III. Furthermore, Ivanova sent the survivors of the Damocles and the Orion to Beta 9 for detention and trial by a war-crimes tribunal. Stranger still, the 2257a map in the zip file, supposedly just one year before the main show started, shows a Beta 9 in the EA, while 2257b doesn't even appear to have any Beta 9 on it all. So how does that stack up with Beta 9 being a League world in that 2258 map?
