I have a problem with running FS1 for my younger brother, it didn't had any issues with installation, but whenever I try to run it, it gives "error executing program" and does nothing.
Is there a way to solve this problem? (TBH, I suspect that it's happening because FS1 is just too old for running it on XP and I'm asking here just because I promised my brother to do so).

What about compatibility mode? Set for Win98 and try it? Also, GoG might be a good address to look for answers.

There's a problem with paying in dollars via internet, since bank in which my family has an account charges an absurd fees for such operations and most likely would use equally absurd rate of exchange (IIRC, that's true for most banks here).
I will try compatiblity mode.

I meant to check their forums. They have more experience in getting FS1 to run than I do.

How much memory on the computer? Anything over 2 gigs and the exe will start seeing negative memory at some point.
There is always FSPort......
-
It turned out that there's an XP path for FS1.
Memory may be under 2GB, since it works well after installing the path.
And FSPort is not an option, since I lost the discs for FS2.

If you're running FSOpen, you don't need the discs, do you?

To install you do.
