OK, I'm referring to the bot in our chat. A friend of mine (actually, my boss) just put in an IRC chat, and I mentioned her. He wants to know where/how you got it so our forum can have one.
Since I'm the only one who frequents a forum, I'm basically molding it into a mini HLP :P

Hang on. You want an IRC bot ... in a web forum? What is this madness?

I'm guessing Titan wants BotenAnna for the other forum's IRC chat.
-
I'm guessing that as well, his initial question is worded somewhat ambiguously, however.
That said, ask chief1983 for details. He's the one who set up Anna.
Also, Titan, by what name do you go on #hard-light?
-
Just /invite BotenAnna should work, AFAIK.
-
Just google "free irc bot" there are also a few links on the irc bot page of wikipedia.
I'm on my phone or i'd have posted links for you.

Thanks guys. Yes, I meant a bot in the chat.

I usually just put myself as Titan. I don't exactly frequent the IRC, I can count the number of times I've been there on one of my hands.

That won't work unless your channel is on the same server as she is in.

Ugh why do people keep asking IRC questions on Site Support. I _never_ check this forum, it's too far down the list :P
That said, the bot isn't even 'mine' technically, it's written mostly by my friend and in a repo he has access to. It's written in Perl, needs several obscure Perl modules and SQLite. It's not exactly set up for easy distribution. You're probably better off getting a packaged bot unless you really want to mess with something like what we have going on.

We need a Fishbot... ;)
