Simple. All you have to do is to post an image of any FS ship, canon or non-canon, then identify its parts (e.g. the frontal part is the bridge, the central part as the reactor, etc.)
I'll start out (SD Lucifer, mindless of the ingame's description such as "bridge", "engine01" etc)

Well, this thread makes little sense, but it's Fan Fiction nonetheless.

Just open PCS2 and look at the special points aka. subsystems...
It'll label everything for you.
Very pointless to make **** up when you have canon directly contradicting you!
-
I think he wants to have fun pointing out the function of each section visually. Sort of an exercise in 'what does this look like it should do'.

I anticipate that soon someone will satirize this thread by posting images with hilarious, bogus, and useless subsystems on the model.
-
Why yes, I am in fact bored.

How long untill we get stuff like this?

I love doing stuff like this. I would do it for every ship I ever designed on graph paper. For a while I refused to draw a part of a ship - even a little greeble - unless I could justify what it was for (functionally).

Yay, finally a closer look at the Narayana :D
-
Looks like a 3-engined version of the Karuna. :P
(btw I <3 trilateral symmetry. feels sooo much nicer to me than the boring old bilateral symmetry)
-
It's got a combination of trilateral and quadrilateral, it seems. But the common factor is bilateral :p

Actually, if anyone could do these for Great War-era ships (like the Seth, Horus, and Thoth) I'd be able to use them for new high-res FS1-style command briefing animations.
-
*snip*
You should give the medium and heavy blobbers their correct names and move them to secondary armament, methinks!
-
Done.

Only one more of these to post....
-
Where's all my labels/circly things? :(
-
That ship reminds me a lot of the Monsoon class Gunboat from Babylon 5 (extended canon)... especially with the engine flaps.
