Title: regarding post processing
Post by: torc on May 23, 2010, 01:21:17 pm
hello ! i don't know if this is the right place  for this question but:
today i've bought tarr chronicles and i've downloaded the latest patch whit post processing effects:
Do you think is possible to create the same effects in fs2 engine?
i found those effects very good, giving to to the game more immersion than before.
i can't imagine freespace: outstanding!  :) thanks

it must be depht of field but never change....seems like they put ''graphic filters'' ON the game...not INSIDE...maybe it is only my impression  :).

There is support for several post processing effects now, and if you want more you can write the shaders to do the effects.  The engine itself can handle any effects you can write a shader for now.

There is a set of effects already written.  To enable ones already in the shaders package, you would just use a table and possibly a mission edit.  But the post proc itself is experimental, which is why it might be a bit difficult to find the info on it currently.
