Title: Red Dead Redemption
Post by: jdjtcagle on May 27, 2010, 02:13:31 pm
This game is so flippin' sweet!

Anyone else out there enjoying it? I can't believe there are no topics about it :D

The end is awful.

While they make it seem like an open world game, there's really nothing to do besides a handful of side quests and the main story.

All I know about it is that the other guys in the apartment suite called it "Grand Theft Pony"

The game seems fun indeed... but some bugs make it even more hilarious.

Just picked it up looks like its going to be fun.  I took a look at the weapons list though and was mighty disappointed to not see the Remington New Army 1858 included.

The game takes place in 1910, so the weapon set should be just a TOUCH more modern than the 1858.

been playing it a little.

really wish I could break a bear and ride that

would make the game the greatest thing EVER if i could ride it, shoot people, and then the bear mauls them.

but riding asses online is pretty neat too.

heh Undead Nightmare (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/launch-trailer-red-dead/706596) the previews sound like they went gang busters putting together this DLC.

I'm gonna stop buying rockstar games. . . . And buy them a year later at a lower price with DLC bundles. :)

Playing Undead Nightmare, now. It's actually pretty good. Only major problem I see, which I've also seen a few reviews point out, is that it doesn't really set a proper tone to the situation. Sometimes it plays the zombie apocalypse for a laugh a la Shawn of the Dead, while other times the game gets quite somber, similar to Night of the Living Dead.

Although on the other hand, it has a Sasquatch in it that'll bring a tear to your eye. So, really, I'd say download it and give it a shot.

Really?  Agree about the emptyness of the world, but I loved the story.  Really the only game where I've cared about characters since GTA IV.
