Anyone want a model I have been working on with Blender has 6 wings and a conical body?

It reminds me of a very low-poly Sharlin. Anyway, it looks kinda.. basic. Work on it, add some details.... and a hanger.... oh wait, that supposed to be a fighter?:p

And its supposed to be a super-light fighter with 1 missile bank (under belly) and 2 gun banks on the 2 horizontal wings that goes VERY fast let me emphasize the VERY. Should I add cylinders as the gun banks or something? Other then that and making the wings slicker I can't think of much else to do with it.  :nod:

The cockpit is going to be like a cockpit on a B-12 bomber, (if you dont know what there cockpits look like find out) so I dont need to do anything to the mesh cockpit wise because it is already the shape I need. :D

Firstly, is slightly cool.

Secondly, the critique.

 - "Foil" the wings(you know kind of decrease the width of the leading edge, very rapidly go to max thickness, then gradually decrease the thickness back to the trailing edge.

 - add a bubble cockpit.

 - add a bubble for the guns.

 - make sure it's got nose guns.

 - increase the thickness of the(assumed) missle battery under  the fuselage.

These few things will make this fighter everyones Interceptor of choice.

Anyway I have foilled the wings on my ship and added two gunbanks on the sides of the 2 horizontal wings + I made the missile bank wider. I can add a bubble cockpit if someone tells me how to Boolean with Blender or if someone tells me how to convert the blend into a 3ds

I hesitate to use the word nipple, but a curved, raised section on the hull that the gun recessed into with just a small portion of the barrel sticking out the end.

A common word for this is 'weapon blister'.

Okay I have given my ship a squarish missile bank and done the gun banks again, if someone wants to do the cockpit, textures etc. I can email it to them in *.blend or *.Cob (P.S. sorry can't do a good bubble cockpit in blender)

Personally, I think it should be spikeified, turned back-to-front, and made into a Shivan "artillery" piece, built around one beam weapon. :D

Good Idea I could do that to it and stretch it a little, but I want to keep the fighter too. :D

Yep... SSG Claw, like a Shivan Mjollnir. Slap an SRed on one end and a Shivan Cluster on the other!:devilidea

That would make it better that the Mjolnir.  The Mjolnir only has the one beam cannon on the front.  To really make the Mjolnir effective, slap a AAF on the back with a wide angle of fire, or possibly a flak gun.

The Minbari is alright but the SDF-1 Took it out with one shot long before it could get into firing range. God I love The Reflex Cannon!

Align the wings along the vertical axis (1 up, 1 down, 4 at diagonals). Make the either the 2 wings on the vertical axis slightly bigger and or the remaining 4 wings smaller. Give the different sized wings slightly different geometries. Perhaps making the larger vertical wings simpler. It'll make the ship look more interesting, more like a terran gunship, and yes more like a Sharlin :).

I don't think the design as it stands works for an interceptor. It looks a little too "compact". For lack of a better word. Perhaps if you get rid of a wing and lengthen the body. Something similar to the Drakh Raider but with a Terran fighter look.
