FS1 Weaponry
Primary (Cannons)
ML-16-Mass driver cannon;virtually useless against shields;good damage against unshielded craft.

Disruptor-Tactical weapon;destroys subsystems;does minimal damage to hull plating

Avenger-Energy weapon;more effective than ML-16 against shields, though not by much;good for light fighter fights

Disruptor Advanced-Energy weapon;destroys subsystems;minimal damage to hull plating; much more effective for targeting subsystems on fighters.

Prometheus-Energy weapon;weak against shields, though better than Avenger;high hull damage.

Banshee-Energy weapon;strong against shields;good hull damage; extreme energy use; standard weapon in Ursa defensive turret.

Secondary (Missiles)

MX-50-Heat seeking;fire and forget;good power against hull plating;weaker against shields.

Fury-Dumbfire;light payload;more missiles of this type can be carried on a ship at one time than other conventional missile.

Interceptor-Aspect seeking;fast warhead;medium payload;fast lock.

Phoenix V-Anti-bomber warhead;best fire-and-forget missile ever;powerful against frieghters, bombers, and cruisers.

Tsunami-Anti-cruiser warhead;high payload;long lock/reload time;devastating against cruisers and frieghters.

Synaptic-Cluster bomb;detonates after about 2 seconds or if target is not hit by then;light payload for bomb, medium for bomblet; light shockwave;releases several dozen smaller bomblets that seek fighters or other targets.

Harbinger-Anti-capitalship warhead;massive payload;slowest of all weapons;extreme lock/load time;primary used for strikes against capital ships, military stations, or preemptive strikes against non-military installations.

I'll get more up when I feel like it. ;7 Kinda tired right now.

Well, I for one appreciate it greatly.  The missions and stuff aren't such a big deal - but having a weapons listing right here compiled simply is nice for someone who doesn't much feel like messing with his table files.  (-:

Well, I find it useful just for the mission names part. I can never memorise the stupid names (apart from bearbaiting, the romans blunder and a few others). Now I can go look here. :)

I have no life so I have all of the mission names from both games memorized. :p :D (along with the squadron info, this (http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/procyon/fs2csd.rtf), most of the ship/weapon stats from the tables, and a lot of other junk from the game :p)

By the way there are a few more squads that are mentioned in the game:

99th Skulls: elite-certified heavy assault squadron working under SOC
33rd: Vasudan squadron stationed on the Memphis

Squads on which no information is available: (aside from the fact that they are all Terran)

23rd Flying Panthers
180th Flaming Skulls
79th Predators
18th Reapers
49th Cutthroats
1st Avenging Angels
33rd Jokers
58th Black Knights
51st Screaming Weasels
309th
19th
91st
116th
83rd

Because he had too much time on his hands? Wait, that's not him, is it? :nervous:
Seriously, it looks very handy for writing fanfic.

Did you ever look at the logo on the side of your fighter in the fourth SOC mission? It's a skull. You fly with the 99th Skulls in "As Lightning Fall" :D

yeah, you're with the Skulls in that one. :D It would be funny if the Maras in the next mission also had Skull logos on them; the Shivans might wonder what is going on... :D

You're right. You definetely have too much free time.

READ A BOOK!
Too much FreeSpace is A-1 Super, but don't try to overdo it, okay?
