Very nice, especially the cockpit part. Texturing really makes a huge difference. Ever thought of making a 10,000 polygon Sathanas? Would be useful for FSF.

Pretty darn good if I say so my self.
Killme,  Lightwave? hehe

Finally other Lightwave peeps out there. I was begining to feel alone out here.

You have a good gasp for modelling and certanly an eccelent displayed texture mapping skill.
Since I also use Lightwave, these days not that much anymore,
we should stay in closer contact.
why?
I have no idea, but after seeing your gallery I can probably help you with terraforming in to lightwave or viceversa, ( I use World connstruction set, totally conpatable with Lightwave) more tips on lighting, and generally about 15 yeras experience on the Newtek program.  Yeah,  since version 4.
I've started a new forum at OSIRIS specifically for 3D animation and one for graphics. No one is there yet since we only just launched the forum, but I intend to start a school of basic modelling there.
I have all the books and journals I heve used to teach alredy. Maybe you might want to put the link to you gallery there as well and come to have a look. Maja unlimited is also a program featured there Jimmy Shen being the expert . He'll help as well with tips and basic knowlede of the Alias wavefront language used in Maja.
We have just enabled Flash files to be posted there with sound, so pimping full animation with audio as well as spoken 3D animation lessons, will be regular events there.
Once again  great work!

Dammit, that thing is freaking sweet. I'll add it to your gallery (I'll add the one with reflection, for good measure). I'd really love someone to do some high-poly versions of the FS models... though it would obviously have many technical challenges.

Me's gotta fix that. Damn, I'd wish they'd hurry up with the server move. :(

well you don't realy need high poly vertions, you just need good material effects,
V didn't have any high poly vertions (posable few exceptions, they defanantly had supar dupar high res maps though)

True I suppose (exceptions being the Apollo and Medusa, probably)... but it'd still be nice to have the details on some of the fighters and bombers modelled on rather than using textures. :)

Okay Setekh,
I'm currently working on two FS2 models. One is still the Herc II (that's close to be finished) and the other is an ORION class destroyer.
The Cap is actually coming along real fast, probably cause of the more angular shape. All I'm doing really is boolian subtract  from boxes to bring out the dettails of the outer hull. It will be light on the texture mapping cause the shadows of the cuts should bring out all the dettails. so far 950 poligons. and I still need to do about 40% of the cuts, so that figure is layable to jump to 1500 easy enough. But it will be hig resolution with lots of fine dettails like I normally do. :(
Lucky I have a good open GL video card and enough ram even by Swiss mountains standard. :D

still I think it will look good.
