"bye, adios"
*a minute of silence*
"when will you be going?"
"I'm already back"
-
Yeah, its a great movie. The book sequel is pritty good too!
-
:no::no:
I didn't like it, I don't know why though. It just bugged me, the whole thing was wierd...

Went and saw it with my wife. Kevin Spacey is just about one of my favorite actors. K-PAX was proof you could make a damned good character-based movie without cheezy special effects.
I just finished reading the book, which makes things even muddier as to the true nature of prot, I think. I've got the sequel, 'On A Ray of Light' four books down on my to-be-read queue. Got the second "His Dark Materials" book going now. :)

I thought it was good. Enjoyed it...had me wanting to know more and it gave it to you in bits. Well done for sure!

Best. Books. Ever!
One of the best series of all time, in my opinion. The third one, the Amber Spyglass, is really fantastic.

Absolutely. From the beginning, this is dark and fantastic and moody and thrilling. Good stuff. Lyra rocks and I wanna be Iorek Byrrnison when I grow up. ;)

Yeah. It was one of thoses books that is so confusing but so amazingly simple at the same time. At the end, I just put it down and said "Wow." I was so stunned at how it finished that I couldn't speak coherently (not that I do anyway but still). It was truely awsome.

Go check it out here (http://www.kpax.com). No, wait - my bad. I meant HERE (http://www.k-pax.com). Yeah, there we go.
Basically it's about a guy in a mental institution who claims he's an alien from the planet K-Pax. This man (Kevin Spacey) is confronted with several apparent inconsistencies in his story, but he manages to find ways around them...and has a few other tricks up his sleeve as well.
Anyway, the question comes down to, "Is he a savant, or is he really what he claims to be?" Answering that question is the point of the story. I hope I didn't give too much away. (-:

Odd... I didn't know that most character-based movies relied on special effects.

Been dodging the cinema lately? It seems you can't have a movie without over the top special effects anymore.

Hm, the true meaning of that smilie still eludes me. I have a feeling that there's a hidden reason to it... :D
(well, at least it was not a :p. Could be a ;7, though.)
