Post by: terran_emperor on July 14, 2010, 11:26:06 am

I think i have done every step which are written in the release-thread and i become these error after i start the campaign.

Rotation without rotation axis defined on submodel 'detail-2' of model 'science01.pof'!

Now i haven't any idea how i can solve this problem.

I got this error.
But I found that if you removed the VP that has "root" in its name, it goes away and BP works great

buwhat

No, no, it should not work great at all, because the 'root' file contains the campaign itself.

What you're seeing is not a problem with Blue Planet. It occurs because you're running a debug build, and the MediaVPs Faustus model is bugged.

Just don't use a debug build. Use a build that ends in -r or -release.

...

What.

I suppose I should be glad that it still works without root_fs2.vp, but....

WHAT.

Seriously, it's a) not a BP problem, but rather a flaw in the mediavps Faustus which was only exposed on newer builds, b) it's only a warning, meaning you can continue without having to change anything, and c) NOT A BP PROBLEM.

DON'T remove root_fs2.vp. If you do, you're on your own regarding any problems you have, and you will.

I saved precious HDD space by deleting C:\Windows\system32\ .

Seriously, what the bloody hell?!

The mind is both boggled and confused.

But as long as he sees everything cool. Leave the Freespace support to the support forum.

Inevitability is inevitable :D

It doesn't.  He's trolling the guy in much the same manner as the people who will recommend deleting system32 to anyone who asks for computer help.

Trolling someone like that is a monumentally stupid thing to do.
