Title: Nostalgia moments.
Post by: Colonol Dekker on July 23, 2010, 08:52:35 pm
About half a mile to go on the walk home and I've had a lot of time for random thought processes to um, process randomly. You know when you're on autopilot and you just let your brain coast along? Well I've done that alongside posting on my phone. Although tonight hasn't been mindblowingly epic. It was one of those nice nights i'll probably remember for a long while.

Much like the time Karajorma and I ended up in G.A.Y. In central London and while talking to women outside, one asked "how long we'd been together?" well. . . . . . . Kara began to clarify by voicing truth but I interjected with a more humorous response. to which he STORMED back inside. I just told the girls "oh he's always like this when we're out, my mother says we wont last but he's just so cuddly"

Yes, I am a natural born comic. And Kara. Sorry but that was my favourite HLP London moment :)

Cheers twinkle.

Any other nostalgic moments from you guys? HLP related or otherwise?

I can see my house so i'm off to bed in ten.

Goodnight HLP :D

:( I miss having friends like you guys around. I wish I was there.

...

Hey! I'm planning a trip to the UK sometime between Fall 2010-Spring 2011 (I know a guy who's spending his year abroad in Newcastle.) Maybe we could crash HLP London again. ;)

The early 1990's are quite nostalgic for me. The world was very different then in a good way.

Early 80's to Early 90's for me, jamming with the Band in Dan's dads' shed, being able to have a kickabout until 10pm without someone wondering if you'd been stabbed, being able to own a cap-gun without being arrested under anti-terrorism laws...

Innocent days, and not as rosy as the specs suggest, but still good memories :)

i hated the 80s, in retrospect it stood for everything i despise. the 90s was good, after that it just went down hill.

But in the 80's there was still the possibility of nuclear war....

Remember that time I accidentally used :necro: twice in the same thread and got banned for two days? chief1983 was the first one to respond to it, and he wasn't too happy about it. Well, last week, I toyed with the Social Interview app on Facebook, and I got this question:

Quote from: Social Interview
What is the best way to irritate [chief1983's real name]?

Quote from: My answer
Accidentally posting :necro: twice on the same forum thread for no proper reason.

chief's response to this being posted on his wall is one word:

Quote from: chief1983
Ass.

:D

The world was a lot different back in the 90s. Everything was good, except in Africa. Even Television was a joy to watch thanks to Cartoon Network.

Especially somalia, we still do have a remnant of the early 90's still warring on today.

I see Karajorma elected to abstain from commenting.
Boo!
 Bad show old bean.

Another good moment was watching Jurassic park at the cinema when I was young.
Dunno why it does but it makes me smile :)
