In case there's any interest, here's 2 meshes Ive been fooling with, both are UV mapped, but only one has anything even close to the primary stages of a texture map. Both are in 3DS Max 10 64-bit files (the 32/64 shouldnt matter).

What you see is what you get. No I cannot convert them for you to another format. Yes you may do with these what you please. No I do not want to kiss your baby. Yes I will appreciate being credited for their use. No it doesn't need to be monetarily. Yes it can be monetarily. No I dont know what the FBX format is.

Cool.
-
Is one a Lizard ship and one a Bek'tah ship?
-
According to Taristin they're "not lizards this time [...] just 2 models I occasionally come back to but likely wont ever finish"
-
The second one looks Vasudan-ish. Might be useful.
-
Indeed, not lizard, nor bek. Just models.
Second one was meant to be a T-V hybrid, but of rough sorts, with areas that are clearly Terran in design and areas that are clearly Vasudan. The clichéd hybrid.
-
The first one looks somewhat like it belongs the Hercules line. It could possibly be another take on a Herc3, though it could use some more features for such a role. The 2nd one has similarities to the Tauret, but it looks both sleeker and somewhat more Terran in its features. Perhaps as the Terran designs begin to take more cues from the Vasudans, perhaps the Vasudans are taking more cues from the Terrans.

nice thingies taristin! But one question. What happed to your website! I'm trying to get hold of your modeldump and I can't find it! Could you be as kind as directing me somewhere where I can find it?

I was unemployed and the website's contract expired. Since then some Japanese opportunist site popped up and stole the domain name, so I didn't renew.
As it stands I currently am without any web space, and therefore have no place to put any of my stuff that I once had. I don't care for "megaupload," "rapidshare," or those other shady file sharing sites, so I don't use them. I am currently employed, atm, but I don't know that I will resubscribe to web service as: 1- though relatively cheap, I don't know if Ill need that money in the future, if work becomes sparse. 2- For the amount of money and effort put into making a website, the traffic was so low as to almost be nonexistent and therefore not worth the money.

Perhaps you could use Hotmail to post your works online? I use it to great effect to host images...

Instead of using a shady file hosting site, why not a) stick it on Mediafire or b) upload it to FSMods?
-
Dropbox isn't shady!
In fact, it's awesome!
-
RapidShare on the other hand, definitely is shady.

a) Never heard of it, and would assume it fits into the same category as rapidshare.
B) Because its not necessarily all FS related, especially since its all just old models that I had fiddeled with, only some of which were FS-models, the rest just being things from my mind. (I also didnt think about it, and never would have, because Ive never been to, or thought the need existed for, an outside repository for FS related mods). (This also explains why I got the impression that most modding had stagnated in the past few years.)

I don't think it does. Many mods use it for file hosting to one degree or another.

Mediafire's much better than rapidshare.
No wait times and ****.
I'm still going to promote Dropbox though, it's like...SVN!

Looks like the Tauret, which is interesting... it may be turned into a Tauret Mk II. Just throwing ideas. :)
Don't really see the "terraness" in it, though... why is it supposed to be a T-V hybrid?
-
The cockpit looks more Terran, as do the fins at the tail, and even the tail of the engine assembly.
