Title: Error - 3.6.12 RC4 INF EDIT: Mistake on my part. Fixed.
Post by: Inglonias on July 27, 2010, 12:23:08 pm
IGNORE: I had recently installed RC4 of 3.6.12, deleting RC3, and causing the launcher to reset the exe it used to 3.6.10, which obviously doesn't work with 3.6.12 version of Blue Planet.

Lock, erase, etc.

Hrm. More expert folk than I will be along, but I imagine it's a change in the way the beam pierce effects were calculated.

Can you verify that this does not happen if you don't use the 3.6.12 feature pack? Just the regular director's cut on 3.6.12 RC4 still works fine?

CORRECTION: Oops. Was accidentally using 3.6.10., Forgot to change

Sorry for the confusion.

Works fine!

Please don't edit older posts completely. It makes things incomprehensible.

Actually, I was under the impression that BP should run with the Inferno version of 3.6.10 Final. But naturally, if you had the regular 3.6.10 Final selected, it indeed would not work.

Yeah, AoA was built and tested to work on .10 Inferno (it also was built to work perfectly on .12, because .12 is just that much better).

Er, but he was using the 3.6.12 feature pack, which obviously won't work with 3.6.10.
