Title: Name Origin thingy
Post by: Snail on August 06, 2010, 06:50:17 am
I'm going to go through and delete the factfile in the name origin section. It's mostly useless and people have been deleting them anyway, guess someone should finish the job. (The actual name origin section and the full explanation will remain but the factfile will be removed)

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, I mean these things:

Quote
    Meaning: Unknown
Language: Greek (Latin?), imported in English
    Alternate spellings: Diana (Latin)

Everyone sunshine and sparkles about this?

Good. I always thought it was ugly and redundant. I was more disappointed when it was added than when it was removed. :D

IMHO they should be replaced with links to Wikipedia articles, but that is just a suggestion.

I'd prefer to see all the Name Origin sections removed, in favor of a single Name Origin article.

Anyone else in favor of this?

Sure.
Might make it more difficult to separate the canon and non-canon though...

Everything in one article seems ok.

Might make it more difficult to separate the canon and non-canon though...

Just add them at the end of the article or create a different article.
