Well, I have to clean up my folder, too. I think, this thread fits the problem. The game runs normal in every way but the warning at the beginning is quite annoying.

Looks like you have your radar icons in both root and MVPs. Delete the root one.
Also, consider moving the whole folder to C:\Games\FreeSpace2.

Done. Still getting 19 warnings when I start with media_vps (the amount of warnings changes with the running mod).
As I said, there is no visible error occuring in gameplay - everything runs just fine - but these damn warnings... :P
Also, consider moving the whole folder to C:\Games\FreeSpace2.
It is there. I'm running Vista 64bit so it's at (x86).

No, it's not. He meant C:\Games\, not C:\Program files (x86)\Games.

Changing directory.
Hm, but the game has always been in C:\Program files (x86)\Games - the warnings started with 3.6.10 vp's IIRC. Also when I change the directory the launcher loses the flag-file.

I checked tables but couldn't figure out if there were rogue ones :rolleyes:

Encountered another small problem with ST:R - the Faustus is shown as the retail-model ingame (maybe there are some additional minor "problems" in the log down there). But still getting no warnings at the start - so far, so good ;)

You've misunderstood something. These three files are patches. You still need the original MV_Assets, MV_Effects and MV_Root, available from the 3.6.12 MediaVPs release thread (or maybe via the FSO Installer).
