I got something regarding this as well from Gamespy; some kind of offer for staff members to get in free, but I'm not really interested in this anyway. :p :D
-
Check out Phantagram and Total Annihilation 2. I want to see if they're up to it.
-
Hmm... w00t? :D

You're VERY lucky.

I guess there's also the fact that you'd have to travel half the globe to get there... :D
-
Oh, that doesn't bother me so much... ;) I'll be visiting Sandwich too, and he's about as far as you can get from me. :D
-
I got one of those, then I got another one telling me they ****ed up and that I'm not going....
Oh well, couldnt go anyway...
-
Why nobody could send me something like that for SIGGRAPH i dunno...
plus my plane ticket and hotels pre-paid as well (i wish..)
Dont know how i'd last 3 days without a beer or a cigarette though :nervous:

Any chance you could "temporarily" make me a Gamespy staff member? :D:p
-
What, so you can go to E3? Sorry..... admission is already closed. Has been for a couple weeks.
I missed it last year, when I was down in Brazil I was bugging Setekh to send me anything E3 related. Luckily it didn't come up until I was back home. :D

No kidding. ;) How close are you to it?

I'm in Vancouver, it's in LA. Get a globe out. ;)

Yeah, I guess when you're an ocean away, living on different coasts of a continent doesn't seem like too much. ;)
Ah, if only I were 5000 miles closer to LA, I'd practically be in E3. :(
-
Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a rather large suitcase with which yu could smuggle me in would you?
I would use legal methods, but:
1) I have nothing to do with the running of the press
2) F***ing age limits...
-
Now lets see what am I facing:
1) Still a minor
2) Live on the wrong side of the Atlantic
3) Have nothing to do with the press
and list everything else below.
-
Hey, you think I work for the press? Technically I suppose I'm a GS employee in some weird way, but that's about the closest I come.
-
I could have gone....
I would have gone....
I'm too damn young [glow=red]:snipe:[/glow]
-
If they discriminate based on age then they don't deserve to get us minors to come there anyway. ;) :D Seriously though, E3 doesn't seem like such a big deal to me; even if I discount the fact that I absolutely hate going out of my house (:D), the place will be extremely crowded and the only attraction there is some alpha versions of upcoming games. Sounds nice, but for $200?! bah :p :headz:
-
That's why GS gives people free tickets.....
-
You...suck...:p
-

Still, that's only for some 50 people; most of the visitors there pay to get in. Everyone talks of E3 though as if it is the end of the world, which sounds a bit silly to me, since there's not that much there. (and way too many people :p) Also, the travel and lodging costs incurred would far exceed the cost of actually getting in and would be better spent on games and hardware IMHO. :p :D
-
That's why I just stay here and you guys tell me all the good stuff

E3 isnt the place to be for artists...3D ones anyway.
if you want the REAL cutting edge stuff go to SIGGRAPH. which is at least four times as expensive :(

Heh, I could have got the subscription and hotel for free during all the time I was in college to go to SIGGRAPH, but I never had the money to pay for the trip. Now I have the money for the trip, I don't get anything else for free and I don't have the time. Bummer.
(I was a research assistant in computer graphics back then...)
