Am I just too stupid to connect to it right now or is it actually not working the way it is supposed to? :-(

What client are you attempting to use?

Well I just click the icon at the very top of this page HLP IRC Channel which worked brilliant last Thursday for me :(

There's a link to a mibbit widget (A browser-based interface to IRC) in my sig. However, in the long run, I would recommend getting a proper IRC client (Like the Chatzilla plugin for Firefox, Pidgin, mIRC or whatever you like) to access the chat, as Mibbit is known to suck.

the opera web browser has a IRC client built in also

Ok to answer my own question now it was the sooner - I am just too stupid.

Last week I used a different browser which still works fine. Thanks a lot for helping me though :-)
