Title: Where do I get FRED_open?
Post by: antar05 on September 10, 2010, 05:26:12 am
Haha, this is funny. I haven't posted here for four years (haven't been able to play FS2 in about that long), and I'm asking essentially the same question.

Where does one get FRED_open? And are there Linux binaries (x64 preferrably) available or can I build my own?

Thanks.

Go to the Source Code Project forum and enter the Nightly Builds subforum, and find the latest Linux build that matches your needs. Or get 3.6.12 official.

Unfortunately, there is no native FRED on Linux. It's windows only at the moment, but you should be able to get it to run with WINE.

Thanks. Found 'em. Having some issues with pixel formats and "OpenGL W32," but this doesn't appear to be uncommon.
