WEEEEEeeee!!!!!!! :D

**** like this only fuels the furor that puts people like Sarah Palin in power. We're all doomed, one way or another.
-
Siiiiiiiigh.
+1 for nuking the world just to put and end to **** like this.
-
Sarah Palin scares me.
-
Score +1 for radical Islam.
-
It's her life and her safety, and chances are we don't know the full facts, so I won't judge.
But yeah, in general, f this. I just don't see American Muslims doing anything rash.
-
Sarah Palin scares me.
Sarah Palin arouses me. . . . Well that famous milf impersonator that does her so well arouses me at least.
-
This is fecking ridiculous. Also, why does this guy get a pass? If a Christian minister/priest/whatever threatened someone's life after they made a disparaging cartoon about Jesus, they'd be in prison.
-
And the American police are going to arrest him in Yemen how?
-
Is publicly declaring someone to be on a religious hit list legal in Yemen?

****ING BATMAN

Once again the subtleties of my comment are lost.
If he were a Christian, there would outrage and scorn from every corner of the globe and calls for his arrest by INTERPOL or something. But he's Muslim, and we don't dare piss them off or something bad might happen. Have we gotten that soft?

I think there's plenty of outrage and scorn towards this kind of behavior, even from his own people. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sumbul-alikaramali/muslim-cleric-loses-his-h_b_706038.html)

I don't get it. Why do you say this? What makes you think that INTERPOL would give a ****?

i dont get why people hate sarah palin so much. durring the last election i was kind of moving, so i voted early in juneau before moving to phoenix (the election was a couple days after i moved). so after hearing a lot of good things about palin/mccain i was shocked how much people in phoenix were thumping obama, and preaching outright hate twards palin. mccain was their politician after all, and i found it quite odd that palin was enough to make them completely reject one of their own. she is quite the milf though :D

Erm... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Palin#Political_positions)
Palin opposes same-sex marriage, abortion including in cases of rape and incest, and embryonic stem cell research. She supports capital punishment,(...) and supports creationism being taught as an option in public schools.
Should I elaborate more?

Awlaki, 39, who is originally from Las Cruces, N.M., singled out Norris as a "prime target," saying her "proper abode is hellfire," the Daily News said.
Uhm. What about that minister that encourages people to pray for Obama's death because it would be the best thing for this country? Nothing happened to him except for he was on the news for, like, a day.
This threat is no worse than the ones people over at Fox News tend to spew.

so shes a republican, big ****ing deal. thing i liked about her was she actually wanted to develop alaska. she was all for roads, and infrastructure that the state sorely needs. drilling in anwar, nothing wrong there. im getting tired of the country thinking of this state as its reserve gas tank. shes for mining here, jobs for the state. typical republican stances on the usual issues. she cut government overspending.id say i agree with about 80% of what she does.

Then she can stay in Alaska. Everyone wins!

There is absolutely nothing subtle about your commentary. We get it. You're bigoted.

The only real problem I have with her is the whole 'book burning' thing.

Only from your point of view. Prove to me you don't want some stooge with a stick up their arse deciding things you should be deciding for your self.
Also, Britons, if you let the HMRC get that measure passed that allows them to take the whole of your pay and then pass you what they decide is appropriate, you deserve to have your freedom taken from you.
-
bigoted.
well that's all that needed to be said, looks like you win.
-

What measure is that?
Edit: If you mean this (http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23879351-now-taxman-wants-to-take-your-money-before-you-can-even-bank-it.do) then a lot of people are doing some extremely interesting interpretation of the article at hand. It's not about only giving you what you think you are worth, it's about moving the point of taxation from the employer to the government, now, I'll admit to reservations on that idea, but let's not twist it out of proportion for the sake of political expediency.
-
Only from your point of view.
As much as it pains me to quote Zack in a serious context, the fact this has been successfully answered already by Zack should probably pain you more.
Uhm. What about that minister that encourages people to pray for Obama's death because it would be the best thing for this country? Nothing happened to him except for he was on the news for, like, a day.
Freedom of speech is either a universal right or it's not actually a right, goddammit. This is apparently a really hard concept for you since we've visited this before.
-
What I draw objection to is your painting me a bigot.
I'll cop to being opinionated, drastically so in some cases.
But a bigot? Hardly.
I don't hate anyone, I'll hate they're stances and politics, but I don't hate them. I let them show me their character first. Then I draw my final opinion. When I'm presented a public figure, I let their public actions speak for their character. For example, the "Honorable" Rev. Jeremiah Wright, I gave him the benefit of the doubt until I heard him speak. Based on what I have heard in the media and found quoted in other places(Here (http://bumpshack.com/2008/03/18/pastor-jeremiah-wright-controversy-quotes/) for a short list.) I rightly label him as a racist and bigot.
My point is that calling someone a bigot because you happen to disagree with them politically is akin to using 500 gallons of Napalm to start a high school bonfire.
-
Ugh, are we really doing this again?
-
Is that the new trend? When black people call out racial injustice, they're the real racists now?
-
Racial injustice? Most minorities have a jovian sized chip when it comes to calling racism. How come I can't call it when I see it applied to white people?
-
My point is that calling someone a bigot because you happen to disagree with them politically is akin to using 500 gallons of Napalm to start a high school bonfire.
I don't disagree with you politically...well actually I probably do, but that's not strictly relevant.
However in your rush to draw poor conclusions you have displayed a persecuted hegemon complex regarding your religion of preference and also managed to argue that the right to free speech does not apply to this guy over in Yemen.
As I said, it's either universal or it's not a right. If you want to deny it to him, for any reason, that's a form of bigotry as much as any other. So either you believe freedom of speech is a priviledge, which I hope isn't the case but it's possible I admit, or you're being bigoted towards this guy in Yemen on some grounds; religious, racial, don't like what he says, whatever.
I'm pretty sure you'll die to defend the Constitution, Lib, or at least will claim such. But you want to deny someone the right to free speech. How am I supposed to take this?
-

...nevermind. **** it.

Who's being denied they're right to free speech? Anyone can stand on a soapbox and blather on about whatever. Doesn't mean I have to listen to them or that they have to be on the news 27 hours a day, 10 days a week.

i see blacks being racist to whites all the time. for some reason this is ok. but a white person has to be very careful of what they say about black people. one slight miswording of a statement and people (of all races) are like "omg! racist!". black people seem to like to remind everyone that theyre black. they seem proud of their racial identity. while white people cant seem to show any pride to their racial identity without being considered a bunch of national socialist skinheads. i dont like using the term double standard, but it applies here. both black and white peoples have sacrificed a lot for the current state of civil rights. maybe everyone should look at how well things have improved instead of trying to call everyone a racist.
-
We can celebrate white pride when white isn't considered default, mkay?
-
while white people cant seem to show any pride to their racial identity without being considered a bunch of national socialist skinheads.
Yeah, they can.
They're called country music fans.

You appear to want them prosecuted. That's not a free-speech denial?
Now, you also backpedaled from that statement later, claiming we did not understand the subtlety of it. I continue to maintain, however, there is nothing subtle about claiming someone should be imprisoned for what they have said, particularly since it has not resulted in action. It's a big flashing sign that says "I HATE FREEDOM OF EXRESSION".

I'll stand by that, what he said was the Moral/Ethical equivalent of yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded movie theatre.
-
Not really. It looks like he basically said "I hope this person dies. They should be in hell right now." Nothing worse than what goes on at Fox.
-

Have you ever even watched FOX News?

ok, the difference here is that even though some US pastor may call for the death of Obama, there really is not a lot of recent history of such calls being answered, on the other hand there have been quite a few people killed over the last few years over such simple things as drawing a cartoon, which is the exact situation here.
-

I dunno, we've killed a lot of people who did nothing at all to us except got born in the wrong place.
-

You mean besides when Bill O'Reilly goes on every night for months screaming "Tiller the Baby Killer"...then some Christian nut goes and actually kills the guy?
Or when Fox spews bull**** about Obama taking people's guns away...and then some ex-Marine in Pittsburgh kills three cops because he thought the Feds were coming for his guns?
Yeah, just keep telling yourselves "it could never happen here"...
-
I didn't say it couldn't, I didn't even say it never has, I just said it hasn't recently.
-
Well if you mean it hasn't happened this week....
