TopAce, I know you've received a lot of criticism for your work here, but this is a fictional universe, and as a modder, you have the ability to make whatever you personally want to, even if there are some who don't like the campaign. If I were you, I wouldn't take down a campaign just because there are some who have their issues with it. By making the mod unavailable, you are, in essence, caving to their wishes and lettinf them dictate what you can or cannot write.
I was fortunate to snag this mod before you took it down, and I'm loving it. As I have heard others say on these forums, "h8terz gonna h8."

Good point but badly made. Nobody wanted the campaign taken down; there are no wishes to cave to. Having spent a while discussing the issue with the strongest critics, I can't think of anybody who wanted to do anything but help TopAce improve.
I would like to see it rehosted as well.

As I said in the announcement I made yesterday, it will be reworked. Sometime in the future.
For now, I'd like to give it a rest, and think it over with a fresh mind.

Additional comment. I think it's important to distinguish between criticism on the basis of execution and criticism on the basis of content. A 'hater' is someone with an irreconcilable difference regarding a concept or idea in the story; there's simply nothing either side can do because their values differ. Nobody's necessarily wrong, they're just not congruent or compatible.
A constructive critic (what we should all strive to be) is someone who has a problem with the execution or quality of an element of the art. It's not what has been done that bothers them, it's how.
None (well, almost none) of the criticism directed at Descendants of Sol qualifies as 'hatin'. I think everybody in that thread wishes TopAce well and genuinely wants the campaign to succeed in the long run.
Don't try to create an agenda where there is none. Assessing the quality of a work of art on personal grounds is very different from attempting to undermine or suppress a work of art because of a personal or political difference. Furthermore you do disrespect to TopAce by treating his own personal choice as an act of coercion.

Even though this whole situation sucks, it does mean that Descendants of Sol will achieve some sort of legendary, cult status. Only the kewlest HLP'er has played DoS! It was a shame really, from the info in the release thread it sounded like the type of mod I'd like.

Then you'll like the re-release even more.

I'm a horrible zealot.
TopAce will do what he will. No need to keep this discussion going.
