That's the back end of a Demon, man. They'll only sell you the front end if you're on the authorized buyers list.
-
wha? no way, it's a Bes, a Bes with cargo.
-
What gets me is the font on the box...
-
Maybe someone in Hoover's marketing department was a fan.
-
Only in Linköping.
-
I agree on the font, could this only be a coincidence, or has someone from the graphical department really played Freespace? The other thing is that the Hoover sign looks like the old Virgin logo too.
-
*cough*trademark infringement*cough*
That's if it's real, of course.
:nervous:
-
FS's trademarks are "Descent Freespace" and "Conflict:Freespace", not "Freespace".

But there was that compression tool called "FreeSpace".

OMG guys, get Derek Smart's lawyers in here right away! It's time to Su-su-su-su-SUE!

Too bad they suck in reviews too, might get one otherwise.

Wait...wouldn't "sucking" be a good thing in a vacuum review?

I'm pretty sure they're in most other elgiganten stores too.

It blows.

IIRC trademarks only work within the same general field. If you wanted to make a car called Windows or Vista there would be bugger all MS could do about it. Try to make a piece of software with that name and you're screwed.

I was referring to the logo design, which I would assume is trademarked.
-
Except that logo isn't similar enough to trigger a lawsuit.

Isn't trademark law a civil matter? If it is, then they could sue over how the CEO ties his shoelaces. [/hyperbole]
-
Not that it'd be worth suing anyway, but it'd be an uphill job, with the level of disconnection between a computer game and a vacuum cleaner and the fact that style of font is not entirely uncommon, the court would probably err on the side of coincidence.

I present to you freespace 3.

Alright, guys... We have to make some plans to strike Hoover. lol

Give it special bose beams and your good.

If that's any indication, then FS3 will be crap... ;)
