Title: What DNF's Releasing Means for Campaigns
Post by: SpardaSon21 on September 26, 2010, 03:54:03 pm
We all know DNF is being released sometime in 2011.  We also know a bunch of FS2 campaigns said they would release before DNF would.  The question is, will they keep their word?

Seems that the old joke is going to take a sobering turn.
If developers of Duke Nukem Forever will keep their word, that is.

Didn't the Inferno team say something about INFASA or INFSCP releasing before DNF, or did they not try to tempt fate?

INFSCP. It was SadisticSid, though, and he's not around anymore.

So we're expecting BWO to be canceled some years from now, and then brought back on by someone else?

To be fair, most people figured Duke Nukem Forever would NEVER come out.

And then there were those few who actually had a pre-order for it. . .

People talking about the release of DNF kind of remind me Augustus saying Ad kalendas Graecas (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ad_kalendas_Graecas). The intent was similar.

BWO? Hehe... ;7

Maybe INFASA and INF SCP won't be released before DNF, but INF*CLASSIFIED* almost certainly will. I can't tell you more about it.  ;)

They threw their office clock out years ago. They got sick of keeping track of time..

I think we should wait until it is actually released before making declarations about it.  It's had plenty of scheduled release dates over the years.

I don't think we've ever said that we'd release before DNF.

Despair is thine name.

aside from the canceling part this has basically already happened, twice.

To be fair, even if the campaigns are beaten by Duke Nukem Forever, they're gonna be beaten by a console version, so they can take comfort in that!
